SUMMARY OF POSITION
Pay: $23.00/hour - $26.00/hour
The Lufthansa/Discover Account Supervisor is responsible for compliance of all aspects of Lufthansa/Discover operations at MSP. Account Supervisors maintain customer relationships, ensure compliance with company and airline policies and takes accountability for safety, operations standards and policy implementation. The Supervisor coordinates and directs Passenger Service Agents and ensures efficient passenger check-in and arrival experiences. They safely and efficiently lead and coordinate the efforts of ramp personnel and ensure the timely delivery of all services. The Supervisor works directly with TSA and airport and airline leadership to promote the safety and security of passengers and staff.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Agents with all passenger processing functions
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of all employees to ensure safe and effective operations
  • Coordinate to ensure that service meets the needs of the carrier and on-time schedules are met
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, airport authorities, and partners
  • Responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all airline ground support equipment
  • Oversee aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous materials identification labels, aircraft loading manifest, and baggage routing tags
  • Follow and comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier rules and regulations
  • Be a liaison with the TSA, airport police/fire, CBP and other agencies
  • Assist HR and Managers with employee coaching and development and time and attendance
  • Evaluate performance and provide feedback to Managers
  • Become the key resource for communication and processing for all airline functions
  • Help arrivals with jet bridge operation, passenger egress doors
  • Identify and report any abnormal operational complexities and prepare any safety reports
  • Ensure disciplinary procedures are conducted in a fair, timely, and consistent manner
  • Promote a safety-first mentality and safety reporting
  • Receive and maintain GSC qualification
  • Able to perform under pressure with time constraints
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or GED and some college preferred
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check
  • 2+ year of relevant experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic
  • Ability to lead a team-oriented environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Must be able to lift / carry / push / pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
