Job Summary We're seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Coordinator to join our team as a Remote Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our customer service team, you'll interact with clients in a courteous, efficient, pleasant, and professional manner, providing exceptional service and support to our passengers. Key Responsibilities • Promote and sell air journeys to the traveling public or freight forwarders • Provide assistance with passenger check-in and load acceptance • Interpret authority's guidelines and requirements for domestic and international journeys or shipment shipments • Meet and dispatch planes within set-up times • Provide assistance to troubled passengers and clients • Protect business enterprise assets and revenue • Provide for a safe journey • Possess the physical capacity and dexterity to apply motor skills to perform various job-associated duties • Use organizational skills to perform multiple duties within a restricted time period • Be self-motivated and require minimum supervision • Respond and assist during safety and emergency situations • Follow internal and external regulations and procedures • May be required to drive and perform air stairs as much as diverse kinds of planes to enplane and deplane passengers • Responsible for the overall performance within the work area and may be required to guide and direct the work of other employees • May be required to perform Passenger Operation Control functions, including air-to-ground communication, as well as Tower functions Requirements and Qualifications Minimum Qualifications • High school degree or GED • Read, write, fluently talk, and understand the English language • Bilingual language abilities are required in some locations • Applicable valid driver's license as required by local authorities • Must satisfy FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted admission to privileges to airport security identity display areas (SIDA), if applicable • Must be able to secure suitable airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable • Ability to work abnormal and/or extended hours, including weekends and holidays • Must report to work on a regular and timely basis Preferred Qualifications • Previous customer service experience • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Knowledge of airline operations and regulations • Strong communication and problem-solving skills Skills and Competencies • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities • Strong customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At American Airlines, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills.
