Core Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand engineering drawings to assemble and wire hot runner components.
  • Inspect, clean, and prepare components for assembly and ensure all parts meet quality standards.
  • Set up and assemble hot runners in a timely manner, meet deadlines.
  • Produce high quality products.
  • Check all assembled parts to the dimensions specified on the engineering drawing and conform to all certification requirements.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Able to understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Support an environment of growth and enthusiasm with other associates.
  • Ensures conformance to specifications utilizing CMM, height gauges, micrometers, and other precision measuring devices to adjust tools, to produce drawing specified dimensions, and ensure overall quality.
  • Evaluates and maintains results and quality to ensure parts are in specified dimensions and tolerances.
  • Completes work orders, associated documents, and labor as required.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements to minimize downtime, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the operation processes.
  • Record part counts, runtimes, and process data accurately (specifically in production documentation or ERP System), and other precision measuring devices to adjust tools, to produce drawing specified dimensions and ensure overall quality.


Skills:

  • Must be able to work both independently and on a team.
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills with close attention to detail, consistently following established quality and safety standards.
  • Must be knowledgeable in reading and interpreting blueprints and CAD drawings.
  • Skilled in conducting inspections and utilizing precision measuring devices to maintain product quality.
  • Knowledge of proper health and safety measures.
  • Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the company.


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in the injection mold industry
  • Inspection experience and able to use precision measuring devices for overall quality.
  • Knowledge of proper Health and Safety measures.
  • Desire to learn and grow within the company.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring schematics
  • Good math skills
  • Understand and practice safe working methods
  • Basic understanding of tools
  • Be willing to work to ISO / QS 9000 standards and have a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Capable of performing physical tasks including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.


Education Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
