Your Opportunity, Your Team The Assistant Apprel Designer supports QVC and their primary responsibility is to facilitate and support the development process of private label product for QVC Proprietary Brands. This role will assist in interpreting the brands direction to design and source product appropriate for the target customer. Where You'll Work This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at West Chester, PA several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: PA, DE, and NJ. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Create flat mechanical sketches for design development packages (to technical design and overseas.)
  • Support the fabric and trim execution in development in PLM System
  • Support Designer in developing seasonal color palettes.
  • Assist in identifying specific fabrics for the season, work with sourcing team to build library.
  • Assist in selecting styles, materials and colors that fit into the program and style plans.
  • Maintain awareness of seasonal trends.
  • Work with technical designers to ensure tech packages are accurate and complete; review with Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Fashion Design, Textile Design or Fine Arts required.
  • 1 to 2 years experience needed.
  • Proficiency in PC operation, MS office and Excel, Photoshop and Illustrator software
  • Must understand how to work in PLM System
