Job Summary

As a Barista at Cafe Amazon Malaysia, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality beverages and customer service, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and supporting daily café operations in alignment with Cafe Amazon's brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to customers following Cafe Amazon’s recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the barista station, equipment, and overall café area at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, taking orders, and responding to inquiries.
  • Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and consumables; inform supervisor for replenishment when needed.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines as required by local health authorities.
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and use POS systems accurately and responsibly.
  • Assist with restocking, inventory checks, and receiving deliveries.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold brand image.
  • Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and service standards.

Requirements

  • SPM or equivalent; additional hospitality or barista training is an advantage.
  • Prior experience as a barista or in food & beverage service is preferred but not required.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus.
  • Friendly, energetic, and customer-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
