The Behavioral Health and Readiness division of the Leidos Health & Services Sector is seeking a Biomedical Data Scientist, contingent upon contract award, who will provide scientific, meeting, and technical support to the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) in Frederick, Maryland. This position is contingent upon contract award. • This is NOT a laboratory research position. • This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days/week in person at the Frederick, Maryland office. • Some local travel within the Washington DC/Baltimore area is required. The CDMRP is a leading funder of research projects across a broad range of medical fields and military health. The Biomedical Data Scientist will work across a diverse variety of research programs in support of the CDMRP’s goal to transform healthcare through innovative and impactful research. You can make an impact and have time for your well-being. • This position is eligible for partial remote work and a flexible work schedule. • Leidos offers many opportunities for career development and advancement. • Be a part of a large, dynamic workforce with a broad range of scientific expertise. • Learn more at What you will do: • Database Preparation and Support • Perform extensive quality control procedures on client data. • Populate SQL database with client data accurately and efficiently. • Respond to team member requests regarding data prior to client scientific meetings. • Execute and update Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to data quality control. • Interact with team members to ensure client expectations are met in a timely manner. • Develop and test new database features prior to release to the client. • Provide on-site database and technical support during in-person client meetings, including Wi-Fi configuration and trouble shooting. • Prepare and implement backup network and database procedures as necessary • Scientific Support • Recruit scientists, clinicians, and consumer advocates to participate in scientific meetings. • Develop and track schedules for tasks and deliverables. • Provide scientific notetaking support by recording critical information from scientific meetings. • Draft scientific materials, including meeting summaries and funding opportunities. • Conduct analyses of scientific research portfolio data and research outcomes and assemble data to prepare tables, graphs, and slides. Successful candidates will possess: • Proficiency with data analysis software (SQL, Access, Workbench). • Proficiency with arenaflex Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Experience in both online and back-end PHP development • Familiarity with wired and Wi-Fi networks • Exceptional attention to detail. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Required Education: • A Masters degree in the biomedical or computer sciences from an accredited college or university, with 1-2 years related experience is desired. Additional Requirements: • This position requires a U.S. citizen in order to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense Public Trust security clearance. • Some local travel within the Washington DC/Baltimore area is required.
