Under general supervision of a licensed plumber, the Commercial Plumbing Apprentice will assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems while gaining familiarity with tools, materials, and job site procedures. This role participates in a formal apprenticeship training program designed to prepare individuals to become licensed journeyman plumbers through a combination of on-the-job training, rotational field assignments, and related classroom instruction.<br><br><strong>Primary Duties And Accountabilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.</li><li>Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and compliance training.</li><li>Follow all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Assist with installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of commercial plumbing systems.</li><li>Support pipe fitting, fixture installation, and system testing under the guidance of licensed plumbers.</li><li>Assist with water heater, booster pump, and circulation system service as part of training and development.</li><li>Accurately document work orders, parts usage, and service activities using company systems.</li><li>Order parts and participate in online and classroom training.</li><li>Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members.</li><li>Support job-site cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.</li><li>Work safely and professionally with plumbing tools, equipment, and materials.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Active State Plumbing Apprenticeship License</li><li>Eligibility to meet Company driving standards, including possession of a valid driver's license</li><li>Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing</li><li>Willing and available to work overtime when required</li><li>Demonstrated basic knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and gas piping</li><li>Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, diagrams, and work orders</li><li>Possess basic math, measurement, and computer skills<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Gas Fitter Trainee or Apprentice License</li><li>Graduate of an accredited vocational or trade school or a 1 year of related field experience</li><li>Hands-on experience with commercial plumbing systems, drain cleaning, or jetting equipment</li></ul>
