JOB TITLE: CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT (2 POSITIONS)

NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME

INDUSTRY: LABORATORY SUPPLIES

SALARY: KSHS.45,000

JOB LOCATION: NGARA

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Operations & Reporting:

  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Oversee company payroll, including statutory deductions for NHIF, NSSF, and SHIF.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure timely and correct statutory tax filings through the KRA iTax portal (VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax).


Cost & Project Accounting:
  • Conduct variance analysis comparing budgeted vs. actual costs, with a focus on technical projects and procurement activities.
  • Monitor and report on project-specific expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.


Compliance & Controls:
  • Ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Kenyan financial regulations.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial data.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as required.


Financial Analysis & Advisory:
  • Provide actionable insights to support management decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies in financial management.


KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA-K certification or ACCA final qualification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in corporate accounting, ideally within technical or project-based industries.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP.
  • Deep familiarity with Kenyan tax compliance and experience with KRA iTax portal filings.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
