POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under general supervision, provides reporting, research, and administrative support for cargo shipment claims and customer service operations. Assists in investigating claim incidents, maintaining departmental records, managing data in internal systems, and supporting the resolution of customer issues in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Generates and maintains reports related to all facets of cargo claims, customer inquiries, and departmental data needs.
2.    Researches claim incidents, gathers required documentation, determines claim validity under established guidelines, and supports or communicates resolution.
3.    Assists with processing cargo claims by coordinating with the Cargo Claims team and other departments to ensure timely and accurate handling.
4.    Supports customer service operations by researching, updating, and maintaining records and information within departmental databases and systems.
5.    Participates in tracking and reporting outstanding claims, settlements, and daily work queues to ensure timely follow-through.
6.    Assists claim analytics, reporting, and recordkeeping functions while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
7.    Provides general clerical, administrative, and data management support as required, including supporting various areas of the operational network.
8.    Handles high volume, time sensitive workloads while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
9.    Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
10.    Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Two (2) years of clerical, administrative, customer service, or claim related experience.

  • Related education may offset experience requirements.

  • Ability to type and operate a personal computer and related software applications.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage data accurately and efficiently.

  • Ability to handle high volume, time sensitive work. 

  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work different shifts based on business needs.

  • Ability to research information, maintain accurate records, and follow established procedures.
