About the position The Data Experience Strategy Director will collaborate with product, finance, marketing, sales operations, and a global sales team to define, implement, and report on the go-to-market strategies and progress across Medidata's Data Experience. This individual will be responsible for analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, assessing competitive landscapes, and working closely with the leadership team to formulate and articulate go to go-to-market strategy for the Data Experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the industry, analytical skills, and a proven ability to translate strategic insights, based on data, into actionable plans that drive sustainable growth and competitive advantage. You will ensure that sales strategies align with Medidata's goals, translating the value of 3DS LSE Experiences and increasing sales and revenue. You will report to the VP Data Experience. Responsibilities • Work with the Data Experience leadership team to define and prioritize sales strategies to help build pipeline to ensure revenue targets are met and exceeded. • Use data and analytics to monitor and track pipeline development and bookings by customer segment. Bring attention and focus to segments that are below quarterly pipeline and sales targets. Develop new sales and marketing strategies to help course correct. • Manage and own the Win/Loss process for the Data Experience and monitor bid volume and key RFXs. This includes monthly and quarterly analysis to better understand product, delivery and commercial aspects that contribute to why we win or lose. Do trend analysis on the Win/Loss data to identify and prioritize investment which has the largest ROI. • Collaborate with Product Marketing to ensure sales collateral and presentations are current, include testimonials/examples/stories and incorporate the voice of the customer. • Work with the VP Data Experience to develop and maintain strong relationships with the Segment Leadership to ensure sales focus, provide training and address challenges and objections from customers and prospects. • Partner closely with R D, Marketing, Services and Finance teams to ensure strategic alignment and facilitate the execution of strategic initiatives. Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives, identify potential roadblocks, and recommend corrective actions. Requirements • 5+ years of experience in the Life Sciences Industry • Familiarity of complex life science software solutions and SaaS • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Analytical thinker who uses data to proactively identify trends and develop solutions/recommendation for managements consideration • BS/BA Required • Comfortable presenting and engaging with teams, customers, and executive management.
