This role provides an exciting opportunity to manage and optimize modern cloud infrastructure while ensuring robust security, compliance, and operational efficiency. The DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer will maintain arenaflex/CD pipelines, implement monitoring and observability systems, and support mission-critical applications in a collaborative, Agile environment. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to develop prototypes and scale applications to production-ready systems. The role requires technical depth in cloud services, automation, and security best practices, combined with strong problem-solving and communication skills. Your contributions will directly enhance infrastructure reliability, accelerate product delivery, and ensure compliance in high-stakes projects. Accountabilities · Manage and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS, including ECS/Fargate, RDS/Postgres, S3, IAM, and VPC. · Maintain and improve arenaflex/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) for scalable deployment. · Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability systems (CloudWatch, Datadog, OpenTelemetry) to ensure system reliability. · Apply secure-by-default practices and support compliance initiatives such as SOC 2 and HIPAA readiness. · Automate operational workflows using Python or Bash scripts for backups, deployments, and monitoring. · Assist with Postgres database operations including tuning, access control, and migrations. · Prepare infrastructure for future container orchestration with Kubernetes/EKS as needed. Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). · 3+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or SRE roles. · Strong AWS expertise, particularly ECS and Terraform. · Experience implementing or improving monitoring systems and incident response workflows. · Scripting experience with Python or Bash for automation and operational tooling. · Familiarity with Postgres in production environments. · Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance. · Preferred: Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools, Kubernetes/EKS, HIPAA/SOC2 compliance, and AI/ML infrastructure (GPU workloads, model deployment). · Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
