The Role

The Director, Market Operations leads operational collaboration with customers, providers, and facilities while ensuring excellence in market performance, engagement initiatives, and growth for the Texas market. This role is responsible for overseeing provider relations, field engagement, and customer-facing operational results, as well as working closely with clinical teams to drive seamless integration and performance improvements. The Director, Market Operations, has strong leadership skills, experience in value-based healthcare operations, market management, and the ability to foster strong partnerships with stakeholders to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities of this role may include:

  • Own market operational performance against organizational and contractual outcomes, ensuring initiatives drive measurable clinical and financial results
  • Lead operation partnerships with customers in the market, aligning on market strategy, contractual goals, and performance targets across cost, quality, and member experience. This includes report-outs and performance updates
  • Lead provider and community engagement strategy with the market to strengthen partnerships and improve service delivery, efficiency, and outcomes
  • Partner with the clinical leadership to align care model execution with operational strategy, ensuring seamless member experience and optimized performance outcomes
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and market performance
  • Develop and execute engagement strategies for providers, health systems, and community partners to ensure strong relationships, foster collaboration, and drive growth within the market
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, regulatory changes and payer strategies while making actionable recommendations to improve market operational performance
  • Partner with clinical, analytics, finance, growth, and operations teams to optimize workflows and drive coordinated execution, while building accountability structures with clear ownership to achieve goals
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements, partner contracts, and internal policies across all market operations

A strong candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare operations, market management, or provider relations
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and operational best practices
  • Strong background in customer collaboration and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven ability to lead operational performance efforts and drive key business metrics
  • Experience working with healthcare providers, facilities, and clinical teams to improve service delivery
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to foster strong partnerships with customers and providers
  • Experience presenting operational updates and performance reports to customers and executive teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving market environment
