E-Commerce Data Specialist

Smith & Wesson is seeking an E-commerce Data Specialist to help manage online products, content focusing on product data accuracy, inventory, and user experience to drive digital revenue.

*Onsite, non-remote in Maryville, TN*

Requirements

  • College degree in a related field or 2-4 years of applicable experience in a similar role
  • Analytics certification is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Data Management: Upload, manage, and optimize product listings with accurate details, descriptions, pricing, and availability.
  • Content & Marketing: Coordinate with marketing to create engaging product content, campaigns (SEO/PPC).
  • Performance Monitoring: Track website traffic, sales, conversion rates, and user behavior to identify areas for improvement.
  • Inventory & Operations: resolve data discrepancies, and liaise with operations for product development, inventory planning, and fulfillment.
  • Customer Support: Investigate customer issues escalated from customer service.
  • Strategy & Optimization: Work with Director of E-Commerce to Research trends, implement digital strategies, and implement product/site enhancements to boost sales and brand loyalty.
Essential Skills:
  • Data Analysis: Ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication: Strong writing and verbal skills for content and team collaboration.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in managing product data and processes.
  • Problem-Solving: Skills to resolve listing issues, inventory discrepancies, and customer problems.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and walk
  • Long periods of sitting are required, as well as long periods of working on the computer
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

Within the Smith & Wesson manufacturing facility, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.

The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:
  • Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection required when on manufacturing floor
  • The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
