Our Fleet Management department plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our parts counters and inventory locations, and we are seeking an experienced Customer Service Section Chief to oversee and manage these operations. Job Overview The Customer Service Section Chief will be responsible for overseeing customer service supervisors and operations, researching and resolving complex customer problems, and managing the design, development, and implementation of technical training programs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in customer service, leadership, and operations management, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Oversee customer service supervisors and operations to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations Research, analyze, and resolve complex or sensitive customer problems and inquiries via phone, email, in person, or other forms of communication Schedule and evaluate work assignments to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency Oversee the installation of equipment and manage the design, development, and implementation of technical training programs Manage internal collections, gather and interpret data for collection activity, and organize and monitor lists to determine liens to be filed with outside agencies Plan, conduct, and revise audits, create audit reports based on documented findings, and make recommendations for improvement Assist in developing, monitoring budgets, and inventories, and assign and oversee tasks for the merchandising team Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the Fleet Management department Essential Qualifications The successful candidate will have: A high school diploma or GED Five years of administrative or customer service related experience Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with: Previous knowledge and experience with MS Excel, MS Access, SAP, and Asset Works M5 General knowledge of the automotive industry and 18 months of supervisory experience in retail automotive Previous experience performing parts inventory receiving and issuing knowledge An Associate's or Bachelor's degree, which may be substituted for up to two or four years of experience, respectively Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
