You will work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient pharmacy operations. This role requires a strong understanding of pharmacy systems, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, under direct supervision. * Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and maintain accurate records. * Provide exceptional patient care, including greeting patients, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. * Model and share customer service best practices with colleagues to ensure a unique and delightful customer experience. * Develop strong relationships with patients and healthcare professionals to promote patient satisfaction and loyalty. * Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, personnel Pharmacist, and store supervisor, including: + Utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug records + Filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets + Verifying medication accuracy and checking for potential interactions + Assisting pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow + Reporting prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhering to company policies and procedures + Registering all related income on assigned cash register and collecting and handling coins as required + Handling telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist + Processing guide claims for third-party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner + Performing other clerical responsibilities as assigned by the store manager * Assist with stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription drugs. * Maintain knowledge of company asset safety procedures and document claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order mistakes, or broken goods related to Rx capsules. * May assist pharmacists in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required. * Assist pharmacy staff in coordinating medical services, arenaflex healthcare clinics, and external vendors. * Assist Pharmacy Manager and personnel Pharmacist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, through clinical provider detailing and outreach to healthcare agencies, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for promoting growth opportunities. **Education & Personal Development** * Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the arenaflex pharmacy technician apprenticeship program and/or state required certification/registration. * Attend training and complete PPLs as requested by manager and acquire continuing education credits. * Maintain expertise and knowledge in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest information and developments. * Through completion of the arenaflex pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE). **Basic Qualifications** * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). * Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. **Preferred Qualifications** * Choose to have six months of experience in a retail environment. * Choose to have previous work experience with arenaflex. * Decide to have desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medicines. * Decide to have correct computer skills. * Decide to have knowledge of store inventory management. * Prefer PTCB certification. **Work Environment & Company Culture** arenaflex is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment that promotes employee growth and development.
