As an IP Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including docketing, managing public and private PAIR, and ensuring compliance with USPTO rules and practices. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain accurate records of patent prosecution activities, including docketing and tracking deadlines Utilize USPTO databases, including public and private PAIR, to monitor and update patent applications Ensure compliance with USPTO rules and practices, including formality requirements Assist attorneys with preparation and filing of patent applications and responses to office actions Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry and document management Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless execution of patent prosecution activities Maintain knowledge of law firm billing programs and patent docketing software Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: 2+ years of experience in patent prosecution, with a focus on USPTO practices and procedures Knowledge of USPTO database, including public and private PAIR Strong computer skills, with proficiency in arenaflex Office and other relevant software Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience with law firm billing programs and patent docketing software Knowledge of patent prosecution procedures beyond USPTO practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with team members Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks Proficiency in arenaflex Office and other relevant software, with ability to learn new systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with team members Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment, with self-motivation and discipline Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a member of our client's team, you will have access to a range of opportunities for career growth and professional development.
