Job Summary This is a temporary-to-hire position that requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. As a Medical Record Retriever and Data Entry Clerk, you will work closely with our Medical Abstraction team to retrieve medical records, perform data entry, and assist in the review of HEDIS measures. You will also be responsible for Critical Incident Reporting (CIR) data entry activities, including obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data, and reporting utilizing data mining tools and software systems. Key Responsibilities Retrieve medical records and perform data entry for HEDIS review under the supervision of our Medical Abstraction team Assist in the retrieval of specific information from medical records, including medical history, diagnoses, and treatment plans Perform intake and data entry utilizing multiple screens and navigating multiple platforms Verify accuracy of data entered into the Critical Incident Reporting Portal, correct inaccuracies, and update the portal appropriately Collaborate with the CIR team in routine meetings to identify issues, trends, best practices, and process improvement activities Communicate and correspond verbally and in writing both internally and externally Perform other duties as assigned Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required One to three years of office/business experience; call center experience preferred Experience in data entry and medical records required Fluent in Dine (also known as Navajo) Written communication skills, business writing, and presentation skills are required Strong organizational skills, ability to create, sort, and analyze reports (Excel, Access, etc.) and system processes Experience in retrieval of specific information in a medical record Ability to understand and use basic medical terminology Demonstrated ability to sustain quality standards Must be able to prove ability to type 30 wpm with 90% accuracy Preferred Qualifications: Experience in healthcare or medical records Familiarity with HEDIS measures and Critical Incident Reporting Experience with data mining tools and software systems Certification in medical records or data entry Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in arenaflex Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems and technologies Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Select Staffing, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
