Job Description: Financial Reporting Consultant (Oracle EPM & ERP SME) Position Type: Contract or Contract-to-Hire Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid or Remote) Department: Finance / Transformation / ERP Program Start Date: Late April / Early May 2026 Duration: Through December 2026, with potential extension Hourly Pay Rate: $60-$90/hour Overview The Financial Reporting Consultant will serve as the organization’s subject matter expert (SME) in Oracle EPM and Oracle ERP Cloud Reporting during a major enterprise-wide Oracle Transformation program. This role is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing financial reports, budgeting and forecasting structures, and close/reconciliation reporting processes. The consultant will partner closely with Senior Accountants, the Accounting Manager, FP&A team members, and the Oracle program team to ensure that the financial reporting ecosystem is accurate, efficient, and fully aligned to the future-state Oracle environment. This role is ideal for an experienced consultant with deep accounting knowledge, strong report‑building expertise in Oracle Cloud, and hands-on experience supporting budget, forecast, and close processes within healthcare organizations. Key Responsibilities Oracle EPM & ERP Reporting Design • Serve as the in-house SME for Oracle EPM Planning, Financial Consolidation & Close (FCC), Narrative Reporting, and ERP Financial Reporting Studio. • Design, develop, and maintain financial, operational, and regulatory reports supporting budgeting, forecasting, and actuals. • Build standardized income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, variance, and departmental reporting to support Accounting and FP&A stakeholders. • Establish governance for report definitions, hierarchies, and metadata alignment across EPM and ERP. Budget, Forecast & Planning Support • Lead the design and configuration of EPM Budget and Forecast reporting, dashboards, smart views, allocations, and workflows. • Partner with FP&A to translate business requirements into scalable reporting and planning models. • Ensure that financial planning outputs integrate seamlessly back to ERP actuals and financial statements. Close & Reconciliation Reporting • Support the design and build of the EPM Close and Reconciliation Management solution, including task manager, reconciliations, certifications, and supporting analytical reports. • Collaborate with senior accountants to identify close process inefficiencies and convert them into system-enabled workflows and reporting tools. • Assist with the creation of automated reconciliations, tracker dashboards, and exception reports. Cross‑Functional Transformation Support • Act as turnkey support to Senior Accountants and the Accounting Manager—helping them adopt new tools, understand new reporting structures, and transition away from legacy processes. • Participate in requirements gathering, solution design workshops, and cross‑functional validation sessions. • Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by creating test cases, validating results, and troubleshooting data/reporting issues. • Provide hands-on knowledge transfer, documentation, and post‑go‑live hypercare support. Qualifications Required • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle EPM (Planning, FCC, Reporting) and Oracle ERP Cloud Financial Reporting. • Strong background in financial reporting, including GAAP accounting principles, close processes, and variance analysis. • Experience building reports using tools such as: • Oracle EPM (Planning, Financial Reporting, Smart View) • ERP Reporting Studio / OTBI / BI Publisher • EPM Task Manager and Reconciliation Compliance • Experience supporting full lifecycle ERP/EPM transformation initiatives. • Strong understanding of healthcare financial reporting, arenaflex structures, and regulatory considerations. • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and IT teams. Preferred • Prior experience in a healthcare provider or health system environment. • Experience with data governance, metadata management, and multi-entity reporting. • CPA, CMA, or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
