Charles River CFO, Inc. (CRCFO) has an immediate need to add a seasoned Fractional CFO leader with deep real estate expertise to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced CFO who thrives in client-facing advisory work and enjoys stepping in when organizations have immediate, high-impact financial leadership needs. Assignments are remote, with a preference for candidates located in the New England states. If you are currently consulting, retired, or seeking flexible, meaningful work with high-quality clients, this could be an excellent fit. Role Overview The Fractional CFO will provide strategic and operational financial leadership to CRCFO clients in the real estate sector. Engagements typically range from 0–30 hours per week, depending on client needs and project scope. Key Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • CPA preferred, but not required • Significant experience in: • Real estate development and construction/renovation • Acquisitions, property management, asset management, and investments • Commercial and multi-unit residential properties • LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) experience strongly preferred • Proven experience with investor reporting and direct interaction with investors • Demonstrated leadership overseeing teams responsible for: • General accounting • Accounts payable and receivable • Project accounting • Asset management • Advanced experience creating and modernizing: • Cash-flow forecasting models • Treasury and liquidity management frameworks • Controllership and financial reporting models • Hands-on experience with real estate systems such as: • Yardi • AppFolio • Buildium About Charles River CFO, Inc.
