Classification: Contract Contract Length: 12 months Work Location: Remote Position Summary CereCore is seeking a Clinical Analyst to support the Operating Room (OR) service line, with a strong focus on preference card medication mapping and OR dictionary support activities related to the MEDITECH Magic to Expanse migration initiative for HCA’s Gulf Coast Division. This role partners closely with facility-based OR analysts, clinical leaders, and operational stakeholders to ensure accurate configuration, validated changes, and optimized workflows that support safe and efficient surgical services. Responsibilities

  • Medication mapping & dictionary support
  • Analyze and compare current-state MEDITECH Magic configuration with future-state MEDITECH Expanse build.
  • Perform detailed medication mapping for OR preference cards within the Expanse Surgery (SUR) module.
  • Validate medication dictionary alignment between Magic and Expanse environments.
  • Investigate and resolve medication mismatches by coordinating with facility stakeholders to gather clarification and confirm accuracy prior to go-live.
  • Preference Card Support
    • Support OR preference card header configuration, mapping, validation, and standardization efforts.
    • Collaborate closely with facility OR analysts and clinical partners to validate preference card changes and ensure operational readiness.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize preference card content while accommodating facility-specific requirements.
  • Work closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to support workflow design aligned with best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding task status, risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage and execute assigned tasks independently with a high degree of accuracy, organization, and accountability.
  • Develop clear documentation and build notes to support go-live readiness.
  • Share knowledge through peer collaboration and team engagement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by incorporating lessons learned into project methodologies and department practices.
Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Strong hands-on OR workflow experience in a perioperative setting.
  • 3+ years of Operating Room clinical experience.
  • Comfort working within structured Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform high-volume comparison and validation work.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Professional demeanor with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior exposure to MEDITECH Magic and/or Expanse.
  • Previous experience with OR preference card build or maintenance (any EHR platform).
  • Experience with medication dictionaries or formulary management.
  • Interest in transitioning into clinical informatics or healthcare IT.
  • Teacher/coach mindset with willingness to learn from senior analysts.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Clinical education or formal training related to perioperative services or surgical workflows preferred.
  • Ongoing professional development or certifications related to healthcare IT or clinical informatics preferred.
