Description

As a Health Analytics Associate Director, you will support employer clients’ benefit programs by developing and delivering integrated health analytics projects. This includes leading measurement strategy workshops and developing customized dashboards. As member of WTW’s analytics team, you will also contribute to the next generation of products and solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing, visualizing and delivering analytics leveraging health care, benefits and HR data to WTW’s clients.  They will understand the employee benefits ecosystem, have a strong project management background and be able to manage multiple projects and deliverables with little oversight.  The candidate will be expected to partner within WTW’s Financial, Actuarial, and Analytics (FAA) function to design and deliver analytic insights and dashboards to clients.

The Role

  • Lead clients’ analytics engagements for a portfolio of small-to-medium clients and/or significantly contribute to large clients.
  • Direct and manage the following projects:
    • Point solution evaluations, cohort analyses
    • Key cost driver analyses
    • Population health analytics
    • Scorecard development
  • Evaluate data warehouse vendors in consideration of individual client objectives.
  • Partner with Client Service Teams to communicate analytics concepts, measure strategy and results that effectively drive client action and improve plan performance.
  • Prepare teams for meetings and/or directly co-present in meetings. 
  • Guide assigned team resources on deliverables based on the client’s needs.
  • Provide leadership to more junior colleagues on analytics concepts, strategies, and tools.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with employers’ and vendors’ primary contacts to build and enhance WTW and H&B’s brand.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth through additional analytics.
  • Support new business, expansion, and cross-selling activities.
  • Provide final quality reviews for all types of financial/actuarial deliverables​.
  • Guide team on strategies and deliverables based on the client’s needs.
  • May have formal leadership role as people manager, team lead and the like, or a role in developing Financial, Actuarial, Analytics IC

Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience and demonstrated success in the design/management of increasingly complex health and welfare plans gained in a consulting or brokerage environment or similar experience in a consultative role gained at a carrier or vendor.
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of the analytics service catalog and advanced knowledge in all aspects of measurement strategy, data analytics, and data warehouse solutions.
  • Track record of success in managing and growing large client relationships
  • Proven ability to generate revenue
  • Polished and well developed oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and proven ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize several obligations at once
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Expertise with commercial data warehouse and/or carrier tools (e.g. Artemis, Cedar Gate, Cotiviti, Merative, etc.)
  • Availability to travel occasionally 
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

 

Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $115,000.00 to $160,000.00 USD per year.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
