The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the expansion of OYO’s property network by identifying, onboarding, and managing hotel and property partners. This role focuses on building strong relationships with partners while actively securing new business opportunities. The BDM will ensure partner satisfaction, revenue growth, and smooth operations through effective business development execution and close collaboration with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Partner Management & Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with hotel and property partners within assigned areas/clusters
  • Understand partner needs and propose suitable OYO solutions to enhance performance and satisfaction
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with partners to identify growth opportunities and improvement areas
  • Coordinate with operations, customer support, revenue management, and finance teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and issue resolution

2. Business Development (New Partner Acquisition)

  • Actively identify and onboard new properties that meet OYO standards in terms of location, pricing, infrastructure quality, and partner readiness
  • Pitch OYO’s partnership value proposition to potential hotel and property owners
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of potential partners from lead generation to contract closure
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and partnership terms with property owners
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify expansion opportunities

3. Sales Execution & Performance Management

  • Achieve individual and team acquisition targets in line with company objectives
  • Work closely with the Revenue Management team to drive topline performance for partners
  • Track performance metrics and maintain accurate partner data
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for management review

4. Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including Operations, Marketing, Pricing, Customer Support, and Finance
  • Provide feedback to improve partner experience, operational efficiency, and business processes
  • Support initiatives and best practices that enhance business development effectiveness

To be successful in this role, you will need :

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Partnerships, or Acquisitions (B2B experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to meet acquisition targets in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Good analytical and numerical skills
  • Customer- and partner-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
