HSE Manager Operations

Job Summary:

As HSEQ Manager for Operations in Greece, you will join our Health, Safety, Environment and Quality within the Operations department. In this role, you will report to the HSEQ Manager for Europe and Africa and will be responsible for leading the implementation of HSEQ programs across operational sites in Greece, ensuring compliance with Country, and local regulations, and promoting best practices in the integrated HSEQ field.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement companywide HSEQ programs/initiatives at site level, ensuring alignment with the corporate HSEQ management system, Country's regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO standards), and relevant internal standards. Guide the design, implementation, and review of site-specific HSEQ policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with permitting obligations. Provide oversight and support to ensure facilities comply with environmental regulations. Support site teams in maintaining full regulatory compliance, mitigating potential liabilities, and avoiding legal penalties. Coordinate periodic HSEQ audits and inspections to verify implementation of regulatory and company standards. Interpret evolving laws and regulations, and ensure stakeholders are informed and aligned with changes. Support budget definition and monitor HSEQ-related expenditures. Oversee and coordinate activities of contractors and vendors, ensuring alignment with HSEQ requirements. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. Promote a proactive HSEQ culture through coaching, training, and engagement across all levels of the organization. Provide support to other departments in relation to HSEQ processes (e.g., due diligence during development and acquisitions, sustainability reporting, stakeholder engagement).

Qualifications and Skills:

Your profile is a natural match if you have:

Education:
Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field. In-depth knowledge of HSE National regulations and standards (eg. ISO 45001, 14001, 9001). Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in HSEQ roles, preferably in renewable energy, construction, or oil & gas sectors. Experience in high-risk environments and major infrastructure projects is essential. Skills:
Proven leadership in managing direct and indirect teams. Strong delegation and team-building capabilities. Fluent in English (written and spoken); Italian is a plus. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Travel Requirements:
Up to 50% travel across Greece Company sites.
