Contract Type Independent Contractor Agreement

Engagement Length 12 months

Years of Experience 3-5 years in a similar role

Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Certifications Advantageous (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE)

Work Model Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Key Skills

Strong experience in manual software testing (test case creation, execution, and defect reporting)

Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies

Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

Good communication and documentation skills

Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) is an advantage

Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on requirements and specifications

Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability

Contribute to test planning, estimation, and reporting

Assist with the setup and execution of automated tests (if experienced)

Continuously improve QA processes and best practices

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance, primarily in manual testing

Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools

Understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and best practices

Experience with automated testing frameworks is an advantage
