Our ID (Infectious Disease) business has an exciting opportunity for two Intern / Year in Industry Placement Students to join our Sales and Key Account Management team , supporting the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics group in leading the move toward Point Of Care within both a primary and secondary care setting, requiring managing and influencing a wide variety of stakeholders and pathways.

Through assisting the Key Account Managers to achieve regional / organisational goals (with guidance from a mentor), you’ll learn and gain hands on experience of a challenging diagnostic healthcare market, sales process and various stages of the sales funnel along with understanding of how a leading global organisation works including experience of internal systems and processes.

Day to day, you will:

· Work closely with Manager and designated Mentor completing all allocated tasks
· Observe and apply sales techniques
· Liaise and attend meetings as appropriate with customers on behalf of the Key Account Manager
· Help maintain and develop customer relationships
· Learn and become proficient in internal systems including CRM, updating and maintaining sales records accordingly.
· Conduct market research to generate new potential customers / leads

You will currently be studying a bachelors level qualification, with preference given to those in the areas of Sciences, Business, or Marketing. Given the nature of our sales team and remote working, you will need to be a naturally energetic self starter, be comfortable managing your own time, and be flexible to traveling within the UK (with full driving licence) as required.
