Bitcoin Depot is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer with a primary focus on maintaining and administering our company’s AWS environments. The primary responsibility will be assisting with the migration of applications and services from multiple cloud providers to AWS, including deploying and troubleshooting software, networking, and security in AWS infrastructure and ensuring that all systems run with optimal performance. This role is based in the US. Bitcoin Depot is the largest Bitcoin ATM Network in the world offering users the ability to buy and sell Bitcoin at thousands of BTM and BDCheckout locations. Responsibilities • Assist in the management of Bitcoin Depot AWS cloud infrastructure • Migration of applications/services from cloud providers to AWS • Working alongside the engineering team to develop arenaflex/CD GitHub actions for AWS infrastructure deployment • Development of Terraform scripts for deployment of application/services in AWS infrastructure • Monitoring and assisting in resolving system issues as they arise • Assist in user management of the AWS environment • Collaborate with Engineering, IT Operations, and Security teams Qualifications: • Relevant Degree or Diploma in Information Systems desired. • AWS SysOps, DevOps, or Solution Architect Associate Certification preferred. • 2+ years experience working with AWS cloud environment (required) • Experience with building out secure infrastructure ( AWS well architecture framework) • 2+ years administering server-side technology, networked computing systems, and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP, Heroku, Digital Ocean) • Experience configuring and maintaining the cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, load balancers, WAFs, AWS ECS services, system software configurations and updates, and internal/external applications • Experience working with ECS clusters and Docker containers • Experience working with Linux operating systems - Ubuntu, arenaflex Linux 2 preferred • Working knowledge of firewalls and security such as VPC, NSG, subnet, ACL, and port configuration based on the principle of least access. • SME knowledge with modern DevOps solutions, IaC concept (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation) • Experience with arenaflex/CD pipeline and Github actions. • Working knowledge of firewalls and security such as VPC, NSG, subnet, ACL, and port configuration based on the principle of least access. • Experience in the development of technical documentation and architecture designs • Experience with RDS and ElastiCache systems, operations, networking, configuration, logging, backup, and clustering • Strong technical background and problem-solving skills resolving system issues as they arise. • Experience in the development of technical documentation and architecture designs • Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines • Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Patient and professional demeanor, with a can-do attitude Benefits: • 401K Matching • Health benefits offered with a company contribution towards premiums • Paid wellness membership • Equity • Paid time off & holidays • Annual in-person team building events • Virtual team building events • Remote first environment Bitcoin Depot provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
