Green Lantern Pizza is currently seeking candidates to be a part of our kitchen crew who are motivated, team-oriented, friendly, dependable, and have the drive to provide excellent service in a high-paced Pizza restaurant!

Summary of Position:

Responsible for efficiently & effectively preparing and portioning food items while following food safety, portioning, and recipe guidelines to ensure ingredients are readily available for daily use.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables, sauces, and other food items for cooking in our pizza oven.

• Assumes 100% responsibility for the quality of products served.

• Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules,

policies and procedures.

• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.

• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion size and recipe specifications.

• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, ovens, cookers, flooring, and refrigeration equipment.

• Assists and fulfills any requests from their prep manager or shift manager.

• Willing, ready, and able to help station cooks at all times.

• Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.

• Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.

• Attends all scheduled team member meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.

• Execute any duty or task assigned by General Manager/Owner or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

• No Experience Necessary. 1 Year of kitchen experience is preferred.

• Be able to work in a hot and loud working environment for long periods of time.

• Be physically able to reach, bend and stop.

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).

• Be able to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 50 pounds up to 15 times per shift.
