About the position Law Clerk (Hybrid) provides support to Trial Attorneys with the drafting, review and compiling of motions, discovery demands/responses, case pleadings and trial documents. They also perform other administrative duties as requested. Responsibilities • Prepare draft responses to discovery demands. • Conducts legal research necessary to defend and/or prosecute motions. • Prepares drafts of legal documents such as motions, including dispositive motions; motions to compel discovery; motions for contempt; motions to strike note of issue. • Prepare drafts of motions in limine; jury instructions and other necessary trial documents. • Assemble trial exhibits by collecting, organizing, and summarizing information, documents, and reports. • Maintain and update files and databases including law office calendar • Communicate with claims examiners, opposing counsel, witnesses, and our insureds • Assist Attorneys and other staff with day-to-day activities • Other duties as assigned Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in law related field • First or second year of law school, 3Ls will be considered • Thorough understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and research techniques. • Excellent research and analytical skills • Exceptional writing skills demonstrated through a writing sample • Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, internet searches, arenaflex Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. • Highly professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality • Effective time management, organizational, prioritization, attention to detail, and multitask skills. • Effective communication skills that allow for positive interactions with coworkers, clients, divisional partners and outside vendors • Ability to work both independently and as an integral part of a team • Strong and unwavering commitment to customer service and high-quality legal work Apply tot his job
