Be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>About the role<br><br></strong>The Manager- Process Excellence supports and develops an industry-leading Lean Six Sigma program designed to train, coach, and certify GMF personnel. In addition, this position leads and manages medium to large strategic cross functional initiatives. Key to this role is the ability to adapt and thrive in a maturing environment leveraging various strategic methodologies to ensure the results exceed expectations. This role is responsible for bringing together expertise from across the enterprise, facilitating change and delivering customer value.<br><br><strong>In This Role You Will<br><br></strong><ul><li> Support the development and delivery of Operational Excellence Training programs including White Belt and Yellow Belt certifications, through day-to-day program management, administration, reporting and basic instructional design </li><li> Partner with leadership to develop and scale GMF’s Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement projects </li><li> Train, certify, and mentor GMF employees through classroom facilitation, and hands-on continuous improvement projects </li><li> Lead strategic transformation initiatives within the Process Excellence portfolio, establish clear communication, identify and mitigate obstacles and ensure timely completion </li><li> Champion Business Process Management including guiding groups and or teams through process design, reengineering and opportunity assessments - ensure compliance (department, state and federal regulations) </li><li> Interact with varying levels of management and departments across the organization, utilize consulting skills to collaborate with stakeholders </li><li> Advocate needs of the customer and the business, drive the voice of the customer, as well as, the voice of the business </li><li> Process Re-Engineering experience for a large enterprise wide initiative to support a technical migration overseeing current and future state processes <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>What makes you an ideal candidate?<br><br></strong><ul><li> Passion for training, developing, and mentoring </li><li> Extensive hands on experience in the application of Lean Six Sigma Methodologies </li><li> Knowledge of business transformation tools and techniques </li><li> Knowledge and expertise in project management methodologies, tools and techniques </li><li> Knowledge and application of Six Sigma and Lean techniques and methodologies </li><li> Knowledge of and experience in identifying improvement opportunities, developing and implementing efficiencies </li><li> Knowledge of Change Management concepts and approach to implementing organizational change </li><li> Ability to apply strategic thinking skills, with experience leading complex, process improvement/strategic transformation initiatives </li><li> Ability to build and sustain lasting relationships with internal clients </li><li> Effective communication including active listening and comfort presenting to senior leadership, ability to simplify complex information and develop clear communications and advanced presentation materials to a variety of audiences </li><li> Experience in data and strategic analysis, with ability to identify and solve complex problems and adaptability to lead and execute vague or undefined initiatives to achieve effective and measurable results </li><li> Ability to analyze process data and use data visualization tools and techniques to describe the process behavior and summarize the data into a simple digestible format </li><li> Formal corporate facilitation experience leading Kaizen Workshops and Training (virtual and in-person desired) </li><li> Experience with business architecture modeling software (ie Nintex Process Manager, Visio) </li><li> Microsoft Project / Power BI reporting experience </li><li> SharePoint Administration experience <br><br></li></ul><strong>Education And Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li> Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or related field required </li><li> 3+ years in relevant work required </li><li> Managing complex projects (Non-IT) </li><li> Process Design or Process Improvement </li><li> Instructional Design (desired) </li><li> Formal corporate classroom training/facilitation experience (virtual and in-person) (desired) <br><br></li></ul><strong>Licenses<br><br></strong><ul><li> Lean Six Sigma Black belt required </li><li> Process Design or Process Improvement certification preferred </li><li> Project Management Professional certification preferred <br><br></li></ul><strong>What We Offer: </strong>Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay, and nine company holidays<br><br><strong>Our Culture:</strong> Our team members define and shape our culture — an environment that welcomes innovative ideas, fosters integrity, and creates a sense of community and belonging.
