You will be mentored<br><br>by an expert registered nurse and have the opportunity to expand your nursing knowledge and develop your critical<br><br>thinking, practicing within a model of relationship-based care.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>This comprehensive 6-week program will offer:<br><br></strong><ul><li> Clinical and classroom orientation</li><li> Inpatient unit assignments in a variety of clinical settings</li><li> Full time 10-hour shifts, 7am - 5:30pm partnering with an RN preceptor</li><li> Weekly education offerings designed specifically for the extern program</li><li> Additional opportunity for clinical observations in areas of interest<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>To qualify for this exciting program, we require:<br><br></strong><ul><li> Minimum GPA 3.5</li><li> Current enrollment in a Baccalaureate Nursing Program and successful completion of Junior year</li><li> Ability to work the entire six weeks and every other weekend<br><br></li></ul><strong>Please Submit a<br><br></strong><ul><li> Cover Letter</li><li> Resume</li><li> Current Official Transcript</li><li> Recommendation from Clinical Instructor on Letterhead<br><br></li></ul><strong>Pay Range<br><br></strong>USD $16.50 - USD $16.50 /Hr.<br><br><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity Employer<br><br></strong>Maimonides Medical Center (MMC) is an equal opportunity employer.
