Report Times: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Daily Hours: 8.5 (7.5 paid)

Work Year: 52 weeks

Civil Service Title: Office Clerk II

Minimum Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:

(A) Graduation with an Associate's degree or successful completion of at least sixty (60) credit hours from a college or university; OR,

(B) Two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience*; OR,

(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

*Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Sales Clerk will not be considered appropriate experience for the purposes of these minimum qualifications.

NOTE: Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution

outside the United States and its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency. A list of acceptable companies who provide this service can be found on the Internet at You must pay the required evaluation fee.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: If you are appointed, you will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate your capacity to meet the transportation needs of the position.

Strong computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Infinite Campus;

Strong interpersonal skills;

Strong organizational skills;

Ability to interact effectively with others;

Ability to use telephone in a courteous and efficient manner;

Clerical aptitude, accuracy, neatness, and follow through;

Ability to prioritize tasks;

Complete all work with a high degree of quality and efficiency;

Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment;

Expert knowledge of Infinite Campus;

Willingness to learn new tasks.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Prepares, formats and maintains reports, correspondence and statistical information for the areas listed above;

Works with internal and external customers and provides a high level of customer service and information as needed;

Maintains student information as needed;

Complies and extracts data as needed for reporting purposes;

Analyzes data and checks for completeness and accuracy;

Charter and Private School registration and updates for Transportation;

Kindergarten and 6th Grade options;

CPSE paper registration;

Online Registration in IC;

Pupil Action Forms and IC change forms;

Census Verification updates;

Performs research as necessary;

Answer phones;

Other duties as assigned.
