On-Call Custodian
Location: MARTA Stations – Metro Atlanta Area
Job Type: On-Call (As Needed) | On-Site Only


Position OverviewDisinfectant Solutions of Atlanta is seeking a reliable and flexible On-Call Custodian to support cleaning operations at MARTA stations throughout the metro Atlanta area. This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, responsive, and able to work on short notice to cover call-outs, special projects, or increased service needs.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining safe, sanitary, and welcoming environments in high-traffic public transportation facilities. Availability, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Please note: This is an on-site role and is not eligible for remote work.


Schedule & Availability Expectations On-Call / As-Needed basis

  • Must be available for evenings, weekends, and possible overnight shifts
  • May be contacted for same-day or short-notice coverage
  • Hours are not guaranteed but may lead to more consistent scheduling based on performance and availability


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate pressure washing and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
  • Clean platforms, entrances, restrooms, stairwells, elevators, and public areas
  • Maintain equipment and report malfunctions promptly
  • Assess cleaning needs and use appropriate cleaning agents and techniques
  • Follow all company policies and OSHA safety standards
  • Read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and cleaning solution labels
  • Measure and mix cleaning solutions according to company guidelines
  • Inspect areas after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met
  • Complete cleaning logs, compliance documentation, and inventory reports
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding shift updates and site needs
  • Respond professionally in high-traffic public environments
  • Participate in required training sessions



Qualifications

  • Prior custodial, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred
  • Experience with pressure washing equipment is a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be dependable and responsive to on-call scheduling
  • Comfortable working in public transportation environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Must follow safety protocols strictly
  • Reliable transportation required
