Job Description Summary The controls cyber security engineer will be responsible for working with the NPI network and platform development teams to develop cybersecurity solutions for GE Vernova’s customers. This role will work with technical leaders, system architects and product security leader to support existing products as well as next generation cyber security developments for critical customer infrastructure. The engagement scope will span from product developments for new units to project and services support for the installed base projects. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities • Collaborate with Technical Leaders, System Architects, and Product Security Leader to formulate comprehensive product features, enhancement and validation plans for GE Vernova cyber security product suite. • Implement and execute detailed design, development, configuration, and validation including performance evaluations for new hardware and software releases, prepare analytical reports for design reviews with the Controlled Title Holder community, as well as draft product documentations. • Provide technical guidance on cyber security requirements as well as project specific design and configuration customization to support fulfillment teams through the project lifecycle. • Support the development of product and service requirement and deliverables to ensure compliance with global cybersecurity regulations. • Act as a subject matter expert on the local, regional and global standards and cyber security regulations, such as IEC 62443, Cyber Resilient Act, NIS2, for cybersecurity compliance. • Support the gas power controls teams in developing and refining standard work processes related to cybersecurity standards. • Participate in the Scaled Agile Framework, defining the handoff scope concerning features, stories, and tasks to meet milestone dates established by the product owner for product requirements. • Ability to execute on multiple product and project development initiatives concurrently. Required Qualifications • A Bachelor’s degree in “STEM” major, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field is required. • Minimum of 5 years of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux) is required, and basic understand of common cyber security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Metasploit) is desired. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in understanding of Networking and Cyber Security principles including global and regional standards such as IEC 62443 and NIST. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in OT cybersecurity engineering or a similar role Desired Characteristics: • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about security issues. • Ability to work effectively within a global team and communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Commitment to staying current with the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies. • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to protecting sensitive information and maintaining trust. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
