Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Manage inventory based on demand and cost targets
  • Maintain stock level for workshops and customers at level that they can complete their work without delay
  • Avoid cost of carrying excessive inventory
  • Maintain accurate records and analyze parts movement

Parts Purchasing

  • Sourcing quality parts at right price
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers
  • Negotiate to obtain best price for parts

Parts Sales

  • Selling parts to customers and meet workshops requirements
  • Price setting and discount levels for customers
  • Plan promotions to increase sales
  • Identify prospects for volume sales
  • Maintain regular contact with major customers

Team Management & Team Leadership

  • Supervising parts department employees
  • Conduct internal training for parts employees on product knowledge, system, service skills
  • Supervise, train, and coach the Parts team to maintain high performance and service quality
  • Set performance targets and conduct periodic evaluations
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare regular reports on inventory, sales, margins, and parts KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Implement best practices to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

General

  • Comply with good health and safety practice, all statutory requirements, company policies and standard procedures.
  • Willing to work at Seksyen 28, Shah Alam Selangor.

Job Specification:

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in automotive parts operations; managerial experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive components, inventory systems, and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in ERP/Inventory Management Systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Other requirements:

  • Familiar with supply chain management
  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle parts and systems (engine, driveline, brake systems, suspension, electrical).
