As a Principal Account Manager, your responsibilities will include building and driving the strategy to increase adoption and market penetration in large financial services accounts to build long-term business and marketing opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a business development/sales background that enables them to engage at all levels of a customer and partner organization, including C-level executives in both business and IT. They should be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a coverage plan and business objectives. This is a high-visibility role requiring engagement with CXOs of large financial services institutions, as well as leveraging internal executives to drive transformational outcomes for large banks in the long term.


Key job responsibilities
The Principal Account Manager is responsible for selling at the most strategic (C-level) within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. The Principal Account Manager works collaboratively with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Partner, Support, Solution Architect) to support customer interests, and will understand how to strongly advocate for the customer in harmony with what the AWS business needs. In addition to new service adoption and new line of business development, this role includes dotted line responsibility for partnership and technical collaboration.

A day in the life
Ideal Candidate Profile: You possess a deep understanding of financial services customer intricacies and requirements, with proven experience both selling to and partnering with them. You bring direct sales experience leading teams to over-achieve business results through revenue growth in existing large accounts and penetration of new accounts. You understand technical and practice requirements and have experience growing teams with these capabilities. You're an influencer by nature who drives engagement at both the CXO level and with technical teams, IT leadership, and Alliance/Marketing executives. Partners and customers are enthusiastic to interact and communicate with you.
