Responsibilities • Build and maintain system testbeds using Access Points, networking devices, and servers. • Perform QA validation of 802.11 wireless standards and proprietary features. • Conduct end-to-end validation of client-to-cloud architecture. • Recreate customer-reported issues in lab environments and collaborate with global engineering teams to drive resolution. • Execute performance testing using tools like iPerf, ixChariot, etc. • Partner with the Customer Support (CS) team to review defect reports and enhance test coverage. • Log and track bugs in Jira, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution. • Escalate critical issues promptly to relevant stakeholders. • Create and maintain technical documentation in Confluence for CS and QA teams. • Mentor and train Level 1/2 Engineers on emerging wireless technologies. Requirements • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. • 5+ years experience in networking domain. • 5+ years In-depth knowledge of 802.11 protocol standards. • 5+ years of Hands-on experience with wireless access point validation. • Strong understanding of routing and switching concepts (VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT). • 5+ years experience validating IEEE802.1x using Freeradius or similar RADIUS servers. • Proficiency in 802.11r/k/v protocols. • Skilled in wireless packet capture analysis and troubleshooting. • Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced, technical environments. • Scripting experience in Python. Nice-to-haves • CWNA, CWSP, or CWAP certification. • Experience with ISE or ClearPass. • Basic knowledge of L2TPv3/IPsec protocols.
