Job Title: Electronics Quality Control Technician

Location: FREDERICK, MD, 21702

Job Summary:

Responsible for checking electronic devices for quality control/assurance and verifying sales lists to ensure accuracy in sales listings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and verify quality of refurbished electronic equipment.
  • Perform routine audits on departments, reports, and equipment.
  • Demonstrate understanding of service policies and procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on a range of ITAD equipment.
  • Refurbish and repair equipment as needed.
  • Accurately document and keep detailed records of all work-related activities.
  • Provide support as requested by the manager.
  • Stay abreast of changes in IT equipment technology.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience performing device testing and electronics repair.
  • Broad experience with general IT devices, test equipment, and hand tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of employees and customers.
  • Proficiency with computers and software.

Education/Experience:

2+ years of hands-on experience performing IT device testing and electronics repair.

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and protocol.
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of Cosmetic grading of devices, and R2v3 rec codes is preferred.
  • Understanding of MDM systems and other types of locks on devices is preferred. (BIOS, Intune, iCloud, etc.)

Physical Demands:

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.

Work Environment:

The employee will be located in a warehouse environment.
