Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.</p><ul><li><p>Oversee catering partners’ performance and compliance to contractually mandated metrics within assigned hub and region</p></li><li><p>Conduct comprehensive audits of each provider’s kitchen and field operations, analyze results and develop corrective action plans for performance failures with caterer management team</p></li><li><p>Analyze performance trends and reports on flight attendant and customer data with regards to catering accuracy and service failures</p></li><li><p>Lead operational meetings and serve as a liaison between airport management, Inflight and catering partner to resolve ongoing operational challenges</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with Purchasing on catering bid strategies and cost cutting initiatives including RFPs</p></li><li><p>Develop and implement alternative catering options as needed during off schedule operations and kitchen disruptions (e.g. labor actions, extreme weather conditions, etc.)</p></li><li><p>Manage caterer start-ups and/or transitions and oversee training on AA specifications and procedures including menu production, equipment/inventory management, meal ordering, aircraft servicing and aircraft ramp safety</p></li></ul><p><strong>All you\'ll need for success</strong></p><p>Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience</p><p>• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training</p><p>• 3 years experience in airline/hotel food and beverage, restaurants, catering, purchasing, or Flight Service</p><p>• Prior project management work experience</p><p>Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience</p><p>• Experience in airline catering operations, aircraft galleys, or flight service</p><p>Skills, Licenses & Certifications</p><p>• Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher</p><p>• Ability to be creative and analytical, with demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills</p><p>• Ability to manage workloads with changing priorities, limited direction and ease</p><p>• Ability to concisely present work to internal and external parties</p><p>• Ability to organize, lead, and plan projects</p><p><strong>Feel free to be yourself at American</strong></p><p>From the team members we hire to the customers we serve, inclusion and diversity are the foundation of the dynamic workforce at American Airlines.
