Summary

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) leads a high-performing foodservice sales team and is accountable for executing the regional go-to-market strategy to achieve annual sales, revenue, and profit objectives. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams and across the Commercial Sales organization to align priorities, activate contract commitments, and execute integrated marketing plans across all brands, product categories, and customer segments.

The RSM drives disciplined sales execution across the region by effectively managing sales activity metrics, pipeline performance, forecasting, and trade spend optimization. This leader builds strong, strategic relationships with key customers and channel partners while coaching and developing a capable, engaged sales team that consistently delivers sustainable growth.

Success in this role requires a deep understanding of foodservice, exceptional leadership capability, strong financial and analytical acumen, and the ability to influence, collaborate, and build trusted relationships.

The geography for this role includes: NYC Metro, Northern NJ, CT, BOS, and ME. Strongly preferred candidates will reside in NYC Metro.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the regional sales plan to achieve sales, revenue, and profitability targets
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering accountability, engagement, and professional growth
  • Effectively activate and execute large, complex contracts across Distribution and Non-Commercial segments
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales Planning, Business Partnering, Marketing, Customer Service, and other internal teams to align priorities and deliver integrated customer plans
  • Oversee regional forecasting, sales activity metrics, pipeline management, and performance reporting
  • Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with distributors, commercial and non-commercial operators, and channel partners
  • Identify growth opportunities, assess risks, and adjust plans to drive consistent results
  • Ensure effective planning and utilization of trade spend to maximize return on investment and to analyze, assess, and manage pricing decisions
  • Serve as a people manager with responsibility for the overall development, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the regional sales team, including hiring, training, performance management, coaching, and employee relations

Typical Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university
  • 8+ years of related sales and leadership experience and/or training

Pay range: $165K - $195K annually. Plus annual sales incentive plan eligibility.
