Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Belcan is seeking a Casting Manufacturing Engineering Advisor to support a major aerospace supply chain industrialization initiative. This SME will guide manufacturability reviews, supplier capability assessments, and arenaflex reduction efforts for complex investment castings. The role is fully remote with occasional travel to supplier sites. Responsibilities • Review casting and machining drawings for manufacturability and arenaflex optimization • Draft RFQ addendums and support technical evaluations during supplier selection • Participate in pre-production reviews and assess supplier readiness for new part launches • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve drawing issues and drive improvements • Identify and evaluate casting suppliers, both current and potential • Advise on arenaflex reduction strategies and troubleshoot supplier production issues Skills • 15 or more years of hands-on experience with investment casting (structural & airfoils) • Strong understanding of aerospace and industrial engineering drawings • Familiarity with X-Ray, FPI, blue/white light inspections, HIP, and weld repair • Working knowledge of aerospace materials and casting processes • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and technical communication • Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required • Experience with stainless steel and nickel-based alloys • Knowledge of Equiax, DS, and SX casting methods • Previous consulting or project work with major aerospace OEMs or suppliers • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience Company Overview • Belcan is a engineering services company offering design, manufacturing, and IT solutions for aerospace, defense, automotive, and more.
