Decisive Point Consulting Group is currently seeking a remote ETL/Data Integration Developer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions while collaborating with various stakeholders to meet business needs. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data across diverse systems and platforms • Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs • Develop and optimize data pipelines for efficient data movement and transformation, ensuring scalability and performance • Build data integration workflows using tools available in the AWS suite of cloud applications • Perform data validation, profiling, and cleansing to ensure data accuracy and integrity • Implement best practices for data integration, security, and governance, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines • Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, providing ongoing support for production systems • Document data flows, system processes, and technical specifications to support development and maintenance • Work with and transform x12 healthcare claims related transactions • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-arenaflex, and retrospectives • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project Skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field • Certification in data integration tools or cloud platforms • 3+ years of experience in ETL development and data integration projects • Proficiency in AWS Cloud tools/products • Strong experience with SQL, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server), and data modeling • Knowledge of ETL patterns and best practices for data processing • Knowledge of x12 • Familiarity with cloud-based data services such as AWS Glue • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and optimize complex data workflows • Experience with Federal IT projects or large-scale data migration initiatives • Experience in Healthcare • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or R for data transformations Company Overview • Decisive Point Consulting Group provides IT, digital services, cyber security, and health IT services.
