Builden Partners is seeking contract Marketing & Business Development Managers to lead marketing strategy for our expanding roster of law firm clients. Builden is changing the way law firms think about marketing. Our innovative Marketing Infrastructure Model resonates with attorneys and has positioned us for significant growth in the coming year. With a client base that spans from elite boutique firms to global legal powerhouses, we are expanding our team of legal marketing contractors to support this exciting trajectory. These remote, contract positions offer flexibility, autonomy and the opportunity to collaborate with diverse clients without the constraints of a traditional office setting, allowing you to maintain a healthywork-life balance while still contributing meaningfully to high-impact initiatives. The Marketing & Business Development Manager will support our clients in the full range of law firm marketing and business development activities, including: • Developing and implementing marketing strategies for mid-size and AmLaw firms • Creating and implementing customized marketing infrastructure plans for clients • Leading strategic marketing and business development projects for key clients • Collaborating with attorneys to develop thought leadership content, presentations, brochures, web copy and other marketing materials • Organizing industry conferences, webinars, podcasts and other events • Conducting business development coaching • Implementing social media strategy • Managing ads and sponsorships • Measuring performance of campaigns using analytics and advising on improvements • Leading awards and directory submissions • Drafting pitch materials, RFP responses and capability statements • Leading brand and website redesigns • Conducting marketing and business development training sessions • Collaborating with attorneys on cross-selling initiatives • Collaborating closely with Builden Partners’ junior team members by providing direction on project tasks and ensuring alignment on deliverables Requirements: • 5-8 years of law firm experience; large law firm experience preferred • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business or related field • Ability to plan strategically and execute tactically • Strong writing and verbal communication skills • Exceptional project management skills • Strong client service focus • Proficiency in social media platforms and analytics tools • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines • Enjoys working within our process-driven model • Highly focused, organized and intensely detail oriented What you can expect of Builden: • High-level, strategic work • The ability to work remotely from anywhere or in our Chicago office • Competitive compensation • Flexible hours and the ability to set your schedule • A collaborative and supportive work environment • Opportunity to attend biannual retreats Builden’s core values: • Jump in with a great attitude • Get things done • Add value all the time • Embrace growth How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, salary requirements and writing sample to [email protected] with the subject line “M&BD Manager Application – [Your Name]”.
