About the position This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Assistant General Counsel. In this role, you will provide strategic legal support across the International Americas region, impacting operations in various countries. The position demands expertise in commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, international trade, employment law, and real estate. Your contributions will directly influence key decisions made by senior management and executives. You will manage outside counsel, develop strategies for negotiations, and engage in pre-litigation matters, ensuring effective legal guidance for the organization. This role is critical in supporting the company's initiatives and objectives through adept legal counsel. Responsibilities • Provide daily legal advice and counsel to business leaders across the International Americas region. • Direct, manage, and develop strategy for respective legal matters. • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements. • Support strategic initiatives including market expansions and business development. • Conduct training for internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters. • Manage relationships with outside counsel and control legal spend. • Monitor and advise on regulatory developments in international trade and employment law. • Participate in cross-functional teams for enterprise-wide initiatives. • Support real estate transactions and mergers within the region. Requirements • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school or equivalent. • Texas law license or eligibility to be licensed in Texas. • Minimum of 5–7 years of legal experience, including law firm and in-house roles. • Strong legal acumen with the ability to provide clear, actionable advice. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects across jurisdictions. • Collaborative mindset with strong leadership skills. • Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) required.
