Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage an engineering team, ensuring alignment with product and business goals
  • Own the overall health, scalability, and quality of products within the team’s domain
  • Drive technical execution and delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions
  • Empower and unblock the team by establishing efficient execution and operational processes, ensuring high velocity and impactful delivery
  • Facilitate and continuously improve team processes, including development, planning, on-call rotations, bug triage, and metrics review
  • Drive execution on projects/goals that may extend beyond the immediate team’s scope, ensuring cross-functional collaboration
  • Coach and mentor engineers, supporting their career growth and skill development
  • Work with a single team and product partners within a domain that may contain multiple products or applications while managing dependencies and expected outcomes
  • Collaborate with Product, Security, and Business teams to align technical strategy with company objectives
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards
  • Monitor and analyze team performance metrics to drive continuous improvements in quality, velocity, and efficiency
  • Manage team capacity and resource planning, ensuring the right talent is allocated to meet project goals
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies, applying relevant innovations to enhance team effectiveness

Skills

  • BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with 1+ years in a management role
  • Strong technical background in software development, cloud platforms, and modern architecture
  • Experience working in agile development environments and driving process improvements
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across Product, Design, and Business functions
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to change, and a curious, growth-oriented mindset
