Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer and staff accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and tax preparation of all Tax types, with the ability to analyze financial documents and provide exceptional customer service. Candidate must have public practice experience and must know how to manage Trial balances, General Ledgers and more. We are heavy ended in the Partnership side (1065s) with K-1s and several investors. This role is essential in helping clients navigate their tax obligations while ensuring compliance with all regulations. Duties • Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws. • Analyze financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and other relevant data to determine tax liabilities. • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Ultra Tax to manage client accounts effectively. • Provide guidance on financial concepts and tax strategies to clients, helping them make informed decisions. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and changes in legislation that may affect clients. • Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks as needed, ensuring all financial records are accurate and organized. • Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and improve operational efficiency. • Ability to stick to time budgets Qualifications • Proven experience in tax preparation and public accounting is required. • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, and corporate accounting practices. • Proficiency in accounting software • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. • Strong math skills, including proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry. • Previous experience in financial sales or customer service is a plus. • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to clients. • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
