We are excited to announce an opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Research and Knowledge Analyst to join our dynamic group. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive legal and business intelligence research, ensuring that our firm remains at the forefront of industry knowledge. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Research and Knowledge Specialist and IT Department developing and maintaining our firm’s intranet. This position demands a detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical abilities and strong communication skills, capable of translating complex information into actionable insights. This is a fully remote position and, while we welcome applications from candidates across all regions, preference will be given to those based in the Central or Mountain Time Zones or those who are able to work 9:30 am – 5:30 pm CST, to better align with our operational needs. Responsibilities • Conducts legal and business intelligence research using Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, CCH, PACER, D&B, Hoovers, Capital IQ and other online resources, including current artificial intelligence tools and platforms • Obtains documents from state and federal courts, as well as various governmental agencies, either directly from available online resources or through third-party vendors • Develops and maintains knowledge of the firm’s available online and print research resources • Works closely with Research Analysts to provide quality service to all offices • In coordination with the Manager of Research and Business Intelligence, prepares business intelligence reports and provides news and docket alerts on clients, industries, and legal topics • Works closely with the Research and Knowledge Specialist to monitor and manage all content of firm’s intranet including coordination of Firm, Legal, Admin and Office page content and layout with Committee, Department and Practice Group Chairs, Admin Managers and Directors, and Office Managers • Works closely with Marketing Department for Firm News and other content on intranet home page • Works closely with IT Development Team in building intranet pages, updating lists, modifying links, including those which require editing HTML, working with Document Libraries and checking out and in documents to make changes visible. • In coordination with the Manager of Electronic Resources and Training, provides training to attorneys and staff on arenaflex-efficient use of online resources and orientation to new hires • Evaluates new products as necessary and makes recommendations for the purchase of resources • Works with Collection Development Specialist to identify possible new acquisitions, changes to print needs, and assist to with the maintenance of print collections Qualifications • Two years of research experience in a law firm required • AmLaw100/200 law firm experience preferred • Thorough knowledge of electronic legal and business research services, including Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, and CCH • Knowledge of emerging technologies, including data analytics and artificial intelligence • Able to perform at high level with minimal supervision and demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple requests and demands, providing high level of customer service • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • General understanding of databases and MS Office applications • Thorough knowledge of MS SharePoint Online and 2016 version • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred • Experience using ticketing management systems such as Quest and ServiceNow • JD, MLS or equivalent preferred. Other graduate degree with significant experience may also be considered The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 and represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.
