Amazon is seeking a Safety Specialist Intern to support workplace health and safety operations during a 6-month full-time internship in Singapore.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Familiarize and assist with the organization and WHS processes for the operations site
  • Support the site WHS Manager and teams in delivering safety processes and operations
  • Participate in planned audits, inspections, and injury prevention processes
  • Support day-to-day operational WHS requirements including meetings, site inspections, audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, procedural implementation, and compliance assessments
  • Analyze accident data and develop standards to prevent accidents
  • Help develop safety procedures and implement training programs with on-site stakeholder coordination
  • Report on WHS requirements and trends, including delivering WHS-related inductions or trainings
  • Work on projects such as risk reduction, ergonomic and MSD injury reduction, WHS data and benchmarking, or WHS health and wellness in consultation with the Hiring Manager

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Currently in the penultimate year of a bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Able to commit to a 6-month full-time internship in 2026 (Jan-Jun or Jul-Dec)
  • Expected graduation between Dec 2026 and Aug 2027
  • Legal work authorization for Singapore
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred majors: Occupational/Workplace Health & Safety, Occupational Therapy, STEM, or similar disciplines
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-moving environment, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize workload amid conflicting priorities
  • Previous work experience such as a summer job or internship, preferably in a related field
  • Problem-solving mindset with proactive issue resolution
  • Demonstrated curiosity and proactivity to gain autonomy and achieve learning and development goals
