ob Title: Sales Representative

Role Expectations

  • Drive company growth through identifying and securing sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, manage pricing, and coordinate sampling processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of sales intelligence via CRM and visit reports, with effective communication.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, processes, and ISO standards.

Role Dimensions

  • Focused on sales and distribution of specialty oil and wax products for applications in tire & rubber, elastomers & plastics, cosmetics & personal care, adhesives, and pharmaceuticals.

  • People Management: No direct reports.

  • Primary Interfaces:

    • Commercial Manager (Houston)
    • Customer Service (Houston)
    • Sales Managers & Representatives
    • Market Development Managers - Specialty Products (Hamburg, Germany)
    • Export Manager (Hamburg, Germany)
    • Technical Manager (Houston)
    • Business Development Manager (Houston)
  • Primary Markets: Tire & rubber, elastomers & plastics, technical rubber goods, cosmetics & personal care, adhesives, pharmaceuticals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive USMCA customer sales growth through lead follow-up and acquisition.
  • Investigate customer leads and manage assigned projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Prepare customer quotations for new leads, assigned accounts, and affiliates.
  • Maintain and update customer price lists.
  • Act as sample process owner: request samples, document evaluations, and track outcomes against defined timelines.
  • Manage CRM entries for leads, investigations, and contacts; assist Sales Managers with visit reports and sample follow-up.
  • Conduct transaction economic evaluations to determine profitability.
  • Issue and document customer pricing notifications for direct accounts; assist Sales Managers and Commercial Manager.
  • Coordinate customer satisfaction data for annual assessments.
  • Perform market research on applications, monitor industrial trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.
  • Support sales planning: identify goals, prepare execution guides for specific markets.

Performance Metrics

  • Respond to lead emails or calls within 1 business day.
  • Submit weekly sample status reports.
  • Submit biweekly market research updates.
  • Present biweekly sales development reports in meetings.
  • Submit CRM visit/call reports within 1 business day of activity.
  • Deliver quarterly sales plan presentations.
  • Ensure adherence to internal management systems and ISO processes.

Key ISO Responsibilities

  • 4.1: Data, document, and information management.
  • 4.6: Sales & Marketing.
  • 4.9: Measurement, analysis, and improvement (customer focus).

Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on technical sales experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
