About the Experience

For the past 53 years, Alaska Trophy Fishing Safaris has been providing world-class fishing guests with an incredible, authentic Alaskan bush experience. We’re a remote, fly-in fishing camp known for exceptional fishing, stunning wilderness, and a small, tight-knit team focused on delivering truly memorable guest experiences.

This is a guest-facing, hospitality-forward role. The hostesses are a big part of the “heart” of camp—setting the tone, welcoming guests, and helping create the warm, fun, professional atmosphere that keeps people coming back year after year.

We’re looking for hostesses who bring great energy, professionalism, warmth, and personality to camp every day—people our guests genuinely enjoy being around, talking with, and spending time with in a polished, upbeat environment.

If you love people, thrive in team settings, and want a once-in-a-lifetime summer adventure in Alaska, this could be the perfect fit.

Schedule

  • Up to 8 hours per day, split between:
  • Mornings (before guests head out to fish)
  • Afternoons/early evenings (before guests return, helping prepare for happy hour and dinner service)
  • This schedule allows for personal time mid-day while guests are on the river.

What You’ll Do

As a Camp Hostess, you’ll play a key role in guest experience and daily camp operations, including:

  • Welcoming and hosting guests
  • Assisting with meal service and dining tent operations, preparing lunches guests/guides to enjoy on the river
  • Light food prep and kitchen support
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and guest dishes
  • Keeping guest and common areas clean, organized, and inviting
  • Helping create a warm, fun, high-energy, professional camp atmosphere
  • Pitching in wherever needed to keep camp running smoothly

Accommodations & Living Conditions

  • You’ll live on-site in authentic, heated Alaskan wall tents
  • The two hostesses will room together
  • This is a remote, fly-in camp—no quick trips to town
  • You’ll be living and working with a small, close-knit team in a true wilderness setting

Travel & Expenses Covered

We cover:

  • All flights within Alaska
  • Hotel transfers and hotels in Alaska (as needed)
  • Camp accommodations
  • All food while in Alaska

At the conclusion of the season, you’ll also receive a $500 travel credit to help offset airfare between your hometown and Alaska.

Compensation & Value

  • Guaranteed earnings of no less than $5,000 for the season
  • Earnings can be higher based on bookings, tips, and performance
  • Estimated total value (compensation, tips, and benefits): $10,000–$12,000+ for the season
  • Room and board provided
  • Travel and lodging in Alaska covered
  • On your personal time, enjoy world-class fishing, hiking, sightseeing, and exploring Alaska
  • A truly unforgettable summer experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Must be at least 18 and legally eligible to work
  • Fun, witty, energetic, and genuinely positive personality
  • Professional, polished, guest-ready appearance and demeanor
  • Comfortable being front-facing with guests in a hospitality setting
  • Warm, engaging, and confident in social situations
  • Strong character, good judgment, and a team-first attitude
  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to thrive in a close-knit, remote environment
