Job Purpose Design and management of an organization’s cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy. Develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure on IaaS and PaaS platforms. Evaluates and identifies the best cloud solutions for the organization. Incorporates security management and privacy requirements into cloud hardware, software, and applications. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology. Duties and Responsibilities • Cloud infrastructure management using AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services. • Develop, document, and communicate plans for investing in systems architecture, including analysis of arenaflex reduction opportunities. • Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications. • Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment. • Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform technical and functional/non-functional requirements • Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners • Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk. • Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations. • Maintain overall industry knowledge on the latest trends, technology, etc. • Any other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or equivalent, and 4+ years of experience with planning, designing, configuring, and supporting large enterprise environments. • 4+ years of experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, or arenaflex cloud. • Strong understanding of network and cloud architecture. • Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes. • Thorough understanding of the corporate network (DNS, Security, Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email, etc.). • Must be available to work a flexible schedule with some nights and weekends required. • Must pass pre-employment screening. Preferred Qualifications • Technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills required. • Professional Level Certification AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Site Reliability Engineering. • Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite, and friendly manner, both written and verbal. • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a business environment. • Knowledge of an SDLC (agile, waterfall, etc.). Critical Competencies • Exceptional technical and analytical skills and the ability to supervise other technical resources. • Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to others. • Regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues. • May resolve problems within established practices. • Provides highly technical guidance in easy-to-understand terms.
